Oldvoi Uganda Limited has successfully installed numerous pergolas and solar/sun shading systems across various projects in Uganda and its neighboring countries. These extensive experiences have refined our expertise in managing both small and large-scale projects, consistently meeting client expectations with reliable product performance.

Pergolas are primarily constructed using timber, steel, or aluminum frameworks, and can be outfitted with a variety of materials such as safety glass, synthetic fibers, or cloth fabrics, including canvas, vinyl, lace, and sheer materials. Safety glass is available in several forms, including laminated glass, tempered glass, toughened glass, wired glass, fiberglass, and plastic glass. The selection of materials is guided by the specific nature of the project, architectural considerations, customer preferences, and budgetary constraints.

While similar to pergolas, solar shading systems focus primarily on mitigating the effects of wind and sun, thereby reducing their impact on both the facility and its occupants. Understanding the sun’s trajectory throughout the day is crucial for effective site planning, daylight design, passive solar design, and controlling unwanted heat gains. Typically, aluminum is the material of choice, often supplemented with steel components for enhanced fastening and stability. Aluminum fins are louvered into box sections to align with the sun’s movement, allowing for optimal solar input, and can be oriented either horizontally or vertically, depending on design requirements.
